The Organization – The PGA of BC comprises of over 700 PGA of Canada members from BC & the Yukon.  It is the second largest zone in the country.    The PGA of BC is led by a policy volunteer Board which is selected by the Members of the Zone.  The Executive Director works directly for the Zone Board with its head office based in Richmond BC.  The selection committee is open to considering a Hybrid work environment proposal.

The Zone Association is in a strong financial position that has three full time main support staff to assist in the day-to-day operations and a number of others that are subcontracted to assist with events and accounting needs.

The BC Zone works collaboratively with the National PGA of Canada Association in many matters such as education, awards and membership categories.  The Zone does have flexibility and autonomy of how it delivers the member benefits such as additional education, buying shows, zone tournaments and events.

The Position – Reporting to the President of the Association, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Leadership Team.  With 12 Board members that will continue to evolve with the length of their terms, the Executive Director is the continuity of the leadership.

The Board has a number of standing committees which are created to assist the Executive Director and the PGA of BC staff in delivering the standard of member services expected by the PGA of BC Zone members.  The ED helps to facilitate these and regular Board Meetings while maintaining that the meetings are in accordance with all Bylaws and policies of the Zone.

The Executive Director will use excellent communication skills to work effectively with the Board of Directors, PGA of BC Zone Members and the PGA of Canada National Office.  They will advance the relationships with key stakeholders involved with the business environment aligned with the BC Zone.  The successful candidate will guide the PGA of BC towards the achievement of the mission, vision and core values of the PGA of Canada Strategic Plan.
