The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is searching for a Head Golf Teaching Professional to lead the instructional team. Working directly under the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf, they are looking for an energetic, outgoing individual who has knowledge of the game of golf, and for the needs of the private club members.
The Facility
As one of the largest clubs in North America, The Glencoe Club also offers an option to join one of Calgary and Canada’s top Private Golf Club experiences. The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is 45-hole private golf club on 440 acres, just west of the Calgary city limits on Highway 8.
The Glencoe Golf and Country Club takes pride in having a premium golf and practice facility, substantial teaching program, and is known to offer superior dining venues with beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains at the Golf Club. Its main City Club is world renown for its expansive options of member services to over 10,000 members.

Head Golf Teaching Professional Duties
The Club is searching for a proven leader in the golf instructional industry who can develop a team of professionals to provide exceptional training to its members. The practice facilities are one of the best facilities in the country, the personal goal of the successful candidate should be year-in-year out to provide the best private club instructional programing to match the premium facilities.
Our ideal candidate would possess excellent leadership, personal, and organizational skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional experiences to our members.

The Head Golf Teaching Professional will be responsible to provide:
Membership Experience –
• Comprehensive lesson portfolios and lesson plans for all members
• Create events and activities to include social, competitive, and instructional programming for all levels and all ages. Provide value and overall lesson programs which are a retention tool for the Club
• Have Golf Instruction when the members are requesting the service to fit their busy schedules
Team Development –
• Coordinate professional development of the other Golf Professionals in terms of golf instruction
• Stay connected as a team with the latest teaching technology and teaching methods
• Recognized as a leader in your field utilizing innovation and creativity whilst striving to establish industry standards
• Be a great two-way communicator to the Management Team and Staff.
Financial Expectations -
• Assist with development and implementation of the annual operating and capital golf budgets for Golf Instruction
• Create sales expectations of equipment and other golf shop merchandise for the PGA team
• Ensure a proper billing and tracking system is in place
• Programing continues to attract future family members to join the facility. Turning beginner golfers to full members
Visibility -
• Play with the membership as time allows and represent the Club in PGA Tournaments and Pro Ams
• Provide quality leadership and a positive, highly visible, and engaging style. A genuine, accessible and approachable personality
Candidate Profile
• Skilled Coach/Instructor of Golf for 5 or more years
• A PGA of Canada Member who has a substantial amount of continuing education/certification through the PGA of Canada or other international PGA programs
• Experience as a leader of a team
• Zone or National recognition Golf Instruction/Teaching/Coaching
• Shown the ability to build and maintain relationships with a membership and the team
This is a full-time year-round position. The successful applicant must be available for a variety of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts. Aside from the busy summer golf season, the Club utilizes simulators for use in the winter at both the Golf Club and the City Club locations.

Compensation
A retainer fee as well as 90% of all the Head Teaching Professional’s lesson revenue.
